ParaBuilder
ParaBuilder
I was going to use Parabuilder within this review, but due to massive hosting changes I'm undergoing right now, I've decided just to review it and let you watch the videos provided on the Parabuilder website (for now).
Ok, first things first - Parabuilder, or Paragraph Builder is a php-based tool for taking information and manipulating it according to predefined parameters.
In plain English - it takes words, sentences, paragraphs, or a complete body of text and lets you break them down into component parts which can then be switched-out for alternatives (which you specify).
If you're familiar with ArticleBot, you'll have seen some of this functionality before.
Since many people reading this review will probably want the answer to the question "Is this an ArticleBot replacement", I'll give you my answer to that.....
No.
ArticleBot is much more comprehensive than ParaBuilder, however that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best tool for the job.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - The best tool for the job is - the tool that does what you need done, not just the tool with the most features.
In this case, if you're after a tool that is easy to install, easy to use, has a one-time payment, and will give you the flexibility over your content that you've seen or heard of other people using on their websites - Parabuilder will be an excellent addition to your tool arsenal.
If you already have ArticleBot - you don't need Parabuilder, but if you're paying a monthly fee for ArticleBot, and only using functionality to randomize or switch content on your webpages (rather than all of the other cool things ArticleBot can do), then the one-time payment for a tool that does everything you need (i.e Parabuilder) might be just what you want.
When I wrote the first review for ParaBuilder (which I deleted during a server move - Sorry), I wrote out 12 benefits of using Parabuilder, pasted those one at a time into Parabuilders text input fields, and within 2 minutes I had a section of the review that rotated the content (in this case the list of benefits) randomly every second. The result was that when you viewed the page, there were four benefits listed, but everytime you refreshed the page (after at least one second), the four benefits would change.
It was simple and quick to do and gave me an instant feeling that this tool would be useful for many people.
If you've spent any time building webpages or websites trying to factor-in the way that search engines view different elements, you'll appreciate that unique content that changes regularly, but is themed to the keywords that your target visitors are looking for - is exactly the sort of thing you want.
Using ParaBuilder you can modify sentences to let you use the same original article but modify it to suit many different niches.
You can also do what I did first-off and use it to switch the content on your site a sentence, or paragraph at a time to make it more interesting for your readers and to keep the search engines coming back.
If you use the power of submitting articles to article directories to build incoming links to your sites, Parabuilder can help in a couple of ways:
1) Take your articles and use Parabuilder to swap out the resource box with other versions which target the range of primary keywords which you're targeting (rather than have the same keyword in all of your links).
2) You could use ParaBuilder to swap-out various chunks of content (including the title) of your articles, to effectively make them new articles which you could then submit to various article directories and avoid any penalisation for having duplicate content (each article would be different enough to be unique).
3) Actually have the theme/keywords switched out for different niches, so that you could use one generic article (say on Cats) and say the same thing for a related topic (i.e dogs). This way you can easily re-write your article to suit a network of relate sites that focus on different keywords.
All of these things give you more content and the opportunity for more relevant inbound links.
Another use (which I've just thought of as I type this) would be to have various affiliate links/text rotating on your websites, or even have your own links changing so that the keyword linking between your own sites changes on a regular basis.
I also raised a couple of support questions to see what the response was like - The result = Very good. I got an answer by email within an hour, and my follow-up question was also answered quickly and professionally.
Conclusion:
Is ParaBuilder an ArticleBot equivalent? - NO.
Is it a great tool that's easy to use, has a one-time payment, has 'some' functionality similar to ArticleBot? - YES
I think this is a really great little tool, and the ease of installation and use should make it an essential addition to every webmasters toolbox.
ParaBuilder scores - 8.5 out of 10
If it's the sort of tool you don't yet have - it's a great choice.

Andy
